In Kiev, rescuers extinguished the fire: 50 people were evacuated to a safe distance, 6 people were evacuated
September 10 at 01:34 to the Operational Coordination Center of the Main Directorate of the State Emergency Service of Ukraine in the city. Kyiv received information about the fire on the street. Shchuseva, 8-A, located in the Shevchenko district of the capital.
Rescuers from the nearest fire and rescue units were immediately sent to the scene. Upon arrival at the scene, firefighters established that the fire had occurred on the 8th floor of a 9-storey residential building spread over 4 balconies of 3 apartments on the 9th floor. Without wasting time, rescuers began to evacuate the inhabitants of the house and extinguish the fire.
At 03:25 the firefighters managed to locate the fire on an estimated area of 90 square meters, and at 04:13 - to eliminate it. During the elimination of the fire, 50 people were removed to a safe distance, 6 people were evacuated. During the raking of the remains of furniture in the apartment on the 8th floor, the body of a deceased woman of 1958 was discovered.
As a result of the fire, the apartment on the 8th floor burned out completely, and 4 balconies on the 9th floor were damaged.
13 units of main and special fire and rescue equipment and 50 personnel of the Main Directorate worked at the scene.
