In Kyiv, law enforcement officers detained a man who shot from a window at passers-by
No one was injured as a result of the incident. Investigators qualified the man's actions as hooliganism and incitement to national, racial or religious enmity and hatred.
Yesterday, while monitoring the Internet, police officers discovered a video in which an unknown man shot out of a window at passers-by. In less than an hour, law enforcement officers established the location of the attacker, so patrolmen's uniforms, an investigative task force and operatives of the Obolon Police Department left there.
At the scene, employees of the criminal police department, together with the patrolmen, detained the offender and took him to the district police department. The detainee is a previously unconvicted native of Donetsk region, born in 1998. During the search at the place of residence of the defendant, the police found and seized the “Flober” revolver, from which the offender probably fired a shot.
According to this fact, the investigative department of the Obolon Police Department opened criminal proceedings under Part 4 of Art. 296 (Hooliganism) and Part 1 of Art. 161 (Violation of equality of citizens depending on their race, nationality, religious beliefs, disability and on other grounds) of the Criminal Code of Ukraine. Investigators prepare a report of suspicion for the defendant. For his actions, he faces up to seven years in prison.
