For two months, representatives of the vocational training department of the Main Directorate of NGU took a training course on training development, taking the experience of foreign partners.

During this period, servicemen became familiar with the concept of “total defense”, as well as acquired skills in planning and conducting military exercises of international level.

They were assisted in this by representatives of Operation UNIFIER, in particular, the senior military representative of the Swedish Armed Forces in Ukraine, Major Roger Djupsjö, and Operation Strategic Planning Officer, Captain Maxime Filiatrault.

According to the results of the course, the officers received certificates that confirm the material passed and in the future will serve as a key criterion, along with knowledge of English, in the selection of candidates for international studies.

Currently, the Swedish side is considering the prospect of involving two representatives of the National Guard in planning activities and in the entire cycle of military exercises “AURORA-23" as observers.

It should be recalled that during these exercises, the Land, Navy and Air Forces of Sweden, in cooperation with other departments of Sweden and participants from the Armed Forces of partner countries, will conduct exercises in the Baltic Sea and in southern Sweden.

Previously, in October of this year, the first training planning conference will be held, to which it is proposed to involve representatives of NGU.
