Police station opened in Gogol community in Poltava region
The solemn opening of the new police station was attended by representatives of the Gogol community, the village council, the leadership of the Poltava region police and police department No. 3 (Velyka Bagachka) of the Mirgorod regional department. Law order in the territory of the Gogol community is maintained by police officer Oleg Bulvin, who since 2016 has worked on the territory of the village council as a district police officer. The policeman took part in the competition for the position of community officer without hesitation. He noted: “I believed in this project, passed competitive selection, job interview, specialized training (2.5 months) in Kharkiv and now I work as a community police officer.”
The police captain is well aware of the specifics of the 5 settlements that are part of the terrocommunity, and the problems of the local population (and 5.5 thousand people live here). Good awareness is the result not only of practical, but also of life experience: he himself is a resident of one of the villages of the community.
According to the key idea of the “Community Police Officer” project, the residence of a law enforcement officer in the service area is important for achieving the main goal — creating a safe space in the community. According to the head of the Preventive Activities Department of Poltava Police Roman Nikolayenko, the police officer starts and ends his working day on the territory of the community, cares about the safety of local residents and works side by side with local self-government bodies to create a comfortable legal environment here. “It is the residents of the community (first of all) who will evaluate the work of the police officer, the new quality of service provision,” Roman Nikolayenko stressed.
Lyudmila Pisarenko, Secretary of the Gogol Settlement Council, believes that the safety project meets the requirements of the time and is focused on ensuring a comfortable life for each community: “I believe that this is a good solution and the right program that will help us to ensure peace, comfort and safety of life of the inhabitants of our community”.
The opening of its own police station and the introduction of the institute of police officers on the territory of the community, the head of the Gogol village Volodymyr Datsenko refers to progressive changes: “This is a step forward for the newly created community to create the safety of our citizens...
