Members of an organized criminal group were detained in Dnipro during a police special operation
On the account of detainees - extortion, armed robberies, theft and imprisonment in order to collect non-existent debts.
On November 18, around 18 o'clock, nine members of the group gathered for the so-called criminal trial. A conflict arose between the organizer and one of the active participants in the criminal group, probably due to the redistribution of roles and criminal influence. During the conflict in a public place, the attackers committed a shooting, as a result of which one person was injured. Police officers with the support of the prosecutor's office of the Dnipropetrovsk region conducted a special operation, in which they involved employees of the special police regiment. This was told by the head of the GUNP in the Dnipropetrovsk region Anatoly Schadilo.
He noted that all nine attackers were detained while trying to escape.
“These are men between the ages of 20 and 35. During their detention, they conducted personal searches and seized seven pistols with obvious signs of being processed for firing combat cartridges. The police established that the organizer of the group is a 35-year-old citizen of Armenia, who was in Ukraine illegally,” the head of the regional police said.
It has also been established that the detainees are involved in a number of property crimes. This is extortion, and armed robberies, apartment thefts and imprisonment in order to collect non-existent debts.
After detention, more than 10 searches took place at the places of residence of the defendants, during which drugs and other material evidence of previously committed crimes were seized.
According to the facts of criminal activity, the police opened 6 criminal proceedings under art. 28, part 3 of article 187 (robbery), part 2 of article 146 (unlawful imprisonment), part 3 of article 185 (theft), part 2 of article 189 (extortion) and part 4 of article 296 (hooliganism). The investigation is currently ongoing. The men were detained in accordance with Art. 208 of the Criminal Procedure Code of Ukraine. The court chose preventive measures.
