In Dnipro, police detained an armed criminal group
Three foreigners are suspected of committing apartment theft and are being checked for involvement in other property crimes committed in the city and region. During a series of searches at the place of residence and in the cars of the members of the criminal group, the police seized three grenades “RGD 5", one of which with the fire of “UZRGM”, as well as the stolen property of the victims.
On November 29, a local resident contacted the police, who reported the theft of a significant amount of money in various currencies, totaling more than 400 thousand hryvnias, and gold jewelry in the Cathedral district of the city. As established by law enforcement officers, the defendants, by damaging window grilles and windows, penetrated the victims' dwellings and stole property.
By operational measures, the criminal police officers of the city of Dnipro have established a group of foreigners who may be involved in committing a number of thefts from apartments on the territory of the city of Dnipro and Dnipropetrovsk region.
On the first of December, employees of the sector of detection of crimes against property of the criminal police of the Dnieper district police department together with the police departments of the police department No. 5, with the strong support of special agents, detained three citizens of another state aged from 29 to 39 years. During a series of searches at the place of residence and in the cars of the members of the criminal group, the police seized three grenades “RGD 5", one of which with the fire of “UZRGM”, as well as the stolen property of the victims.
According to this fact, the investigators opened two criminal proceedings under Part 1 of Art. 263 (illegal handling of weapons, ammunition or explosives) and Part 3 of Art. 185 (theft) of the Criminal Code of Ukraine. The men were detained in accordance with Art. 208 of the Criminal Procedure Code of Ukraine and they were informed of the suspicion. The investigation is ongoing.
