As part of international cooperation, cyberpolice, together with foreign colleagues, conducted more than 50 searches. The total amount of damages from illegal actions of hackers is 3.5 billion US dollars.

At the end of January 2021, the cyber police exposed a transnational hacker group in the distribution of the world's most dangerous and persistent computer virus, “EMOTET”. The defendants interfered in the work of servers of private and public institutions in Europe and the United States of America and caused damage to foreign banks and financial institutions.

During the investigative actions, the police identified the members of the group, in particular two citizens of Ukraine, who ensured the proper operation of the virus distribution infrastructure and maintained its smooth operation. Also, law enforcement agencies completely blocked the activities of the “Emotet” bot network, located on more than 90 servers in different countries of the world.

Last year, during an international police operation, cyber police exposed those involved in the spread of the Clop encryption virus. With the help of a malicious ransomware, hackers encrypted the data that was on the information media of companies in the Republic of Korea and the United States. In the future, money was demanded for the restoration of access. To compensate the victims for damage, the property of the defendants was arrested.

The cyber police also stopped the activities of one of the world's largest phishing services for attacks on financial institutions of different countries and hacking postal services. The defendant specialized in the development of phishing packages and administrative panels to manage them. Admin panels made it possible to monitor the accounts of users who registered on compromised resources and entered their payment data. Subsequently, these data were received by attackers.

In October 2021, 15 members of an international hacker group specializing in cyber attacks using cryptographic viruses were exposed. The defendants encrypted the data of international companies, and demanded a ransom in cryptocurrency to restore access.

In the fall of last year, a group of hackers was installed that developed and used malicious software to encrypt data. The defendants caused losses to more than 100 international corporations. Among the victims are well-known world energy and tourism companies, as well as technology developers.

In total, 9 international operations were carried out last year together with law enforcement agencies of the United States, the Netherlands, France, Germany, Great Britain, Norway, Israel, Korea, Switzerland, with the support of Europol and Eurojust.
