NATO Training on Integrity Education

On March 29-30, with the assistance of NATO and the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine, a training was held for trainers on education of integrity.

Traditionally, this event takes place on the basis of the National Academy of Internal Affairs. This year, due to quarantine restrictions, the training took place remotely.

At the beginning of the event, Anatoly Fodchuk, the Head of the Corruption Prevention Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine addressed the participants with a welcome speech, who informed about the long-term and effective cooperation of the Ministry of Internal Affairs with the NATO Program on building integrity, integrity, transparency and reduction of corruption risks in the work of defence and security institutions (Building Integrity Programme) to conduct joint training and training of professional trainers.

Deputy Rector of the National Academy of Internal Affairs Police Colonel Serhiy Chernyavsky congratulated all participants of the training, noting that the Academy conducts many events with the participation of international experts aimed at combating corruption, in particular training and trainings within the framework of advanced training in anti-corruption specialization for employees police officers and institutions, institutions and enterprises belonging to the sphere of management of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, as well as various categories of civil servants and local government officials from all over the country.

Officer of the Department for the Development of Institutional Capacity of the Defense Departments of NATO Headquarters Nadia Milanova presented the training program and stressed that leading foreign experts were invited to hold the event, interesting reports were prepared.

During the training, participants got acquainted with the experience of NATO countries in the field of education of integrity, assessment of corruption risks, protection of whistleblowers, as well as discussed the scale of corruption risk assessment in functional areas such as procurement, budgeting and human resources. At the end of the event, the participants thanked the organizers for an interesting and meaningful training.
