National Guard tankers and engineers improve their professional skills
In the International Center for Training Units of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine in Kyiv region, there are courses of the basic level of training of tank crews and collective training of specialists in engineering military-accounting specialties.
The training tank crews include guards from the 3017 and 3018 military units, and the instructors were recruited from the 3029 military unit. These days they work with tanks such as the T-72 and T-64. First, they need to learn the theory and bring their actions in the tank to automatism. Only after that will they move on to driving and shooting exercises with iron warriors.
“The aim of this course is to teach young tankers who have no experience in working with tanks skillfully to use and use combat equipment. Crew commanders also learn tactical training, learn to make decisions, and manage a tank crew. I was taught in the development of this course, many changes were made to the basis of the course, based on the experience of the commanders of tank units,” said Major Stanislav Dubrovsky, head of the special course of the basic level of training of tank crews
At this time, the engineers in the department master the explosion business, the installation of engineering barriers and minefields, the camouflage and fortification equipment of machinery, and the arrangement of transitions through various obstacles.
“Special attention this time was paid to the actions of the department during the deployment and masking of structures and equipment, where specialists worked out training issues very qualitatively,” said Major Igor Barnyak, head of the engineering training course.
After passing each stage of training, the guard sappers take tests, and at the end of the course, tactical and special training of the consolidated unit will take place. In addition, during the training, servicemen have the opportunity to exchange experience gained during their participation in the Joint Forces.
The International Center of the National Guard continues to train professionals in its field and its initial base is constantly being improved and brought to the realities of today.
