The scheme for the illegal manufacture and distribution of COVID-19 tests was exposed by border guards in Luhansk region

Soldiers of the Luhansk Border Detachment under the procedural leadership of the Starobilsk District Prosecutor's Office exposed a scheme related to the illegal production and sale of fake COVID-19 tests. In particular, a resident of N.P. was exposed. Milovoy, who with the help of computer equipment organized the production of fake tests. Subsequently, through other accomplices, he distributed among citizens who crossed the border at the Milove checkpoint.

Within the framework of open criminal proceedings, several episodes of sale by the organizer of forged certificates were documented. In addition, law enforcement officers, together with investigators of the Starobilsk Department of the National Police, conducted a number of sanctioned searches, during which fake PCR tests, references, PCR results, notebooks with rough records, flash drives, computer equipment with which the tests were made were revealed.

At present, the issue of declaring suspicion of committing a criminal offense, provided for in Art. 190, Art. 358 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine.

It is worth noting that the verdict of the Yavorivsky District Court recently entered into force, which found another citizen of Ukraine guilty of committing a crime under Art. 358 CCU (Forgery of documents, seals, stamps and forms, sale or use of forged documents, seals, stamps). He was punished in the form of a fine in the amount of 850 UAH.

The man also used computer equipment to produce a fake PCR test on COVID-19 with a negative result, which exempts him from the obligation to serve self-isolation, and tried to use the “Krakivets” checkpoint while entering Ukraine.
