The court took into custody D. Kulikovsky — the head and executioner of the Izolyatsia prison in occupied Donetsk
Today the Primorsky Court of the city. In Mariupol, a militant of the terrorist organization “MGB DNR” Denys Kulikovsky, who organized the torture of prisoners in an illegal prison, was chosen a preventive measure in the form of detention for a period of 2 months without alternative. He was placed in a detention center. For a year now he has been under investigation, which was conducted by the Donetsk police under the procedural guidance of the prosecutor's office.
Recall, yesterday, November 9, in Kyiv, the operatives of the Security Service of Ukraine detained the head of the underground torture station with the call letters “Palich”, “First”. He is a defendant in criminal proceedings for crimes in “Izolatia”, for which the Donetsk police have been conducting a large-scale investigation for seven years.
In October 2020, the militant was reported on suspicion in absentia and declared wanted. Operatives and police investigators obtained evidence of the crimes of “Palich”. He personally and his accomplices interrogated prisoners with the use of torture: electrocuted, raped, broken bones, simulated executions and burials with nails driven into coffins. In addition, the suspect organized labor exploitation of the victims.
The 37-year-old detainee was charged with crimes provided for by four articles of the Criminal Code of Ukraine: Art. 149 “Trafficking in Persons”, Art. 258-3 “Creation of a terrorist group or terrorist organization”, p. 260 “Creation of paramilitary or armed formations not provided for by law” and Art. 438 “Violation of the Laws and Customs of War”.
Currently, criminal proceedings are pending against D. Kulikovsky was transferred for pre-trial investigation to the Investigative Department of the 2nd Directorate of the Main Directorate of the SBU in Donetsk and Luhansk oblasts.
As of today, the police have announced in absentia 18 members of a criminal organization headed by the Russian occupation authorities - leaders and operatives of the “DPR MGB”, convoy guards, judges making illegal decisions on fabricated cases. For eight people, the case has already been transferred to the court for sentencing in absentia.
During the investigation, about 200 people were questioned, identification, examinations, investigative experiments were carried out. Work on bringing criminals to justice continues.
Donetsk police have information on more than 70 militants involved in crimes in Izolylya. According to the current legislation, they can be sentenced in absentia and, after detention, imprisoned in prison.
