Metropolitan police establish the circumstances of the conflict with the shooting in Solomenskiy district

A conflict ensued between the two men, during which one of them took out a pistol and fired several times at the opponent. The offender was detained by patrol police officers, and the victim was taken to the hospital to provide the necessary assistance. Criminal proceedings have been initiated.

A man received a message from the man to the duty part of the Solomyansky Police Department that there was a conflict between two strangers on Volgograd Street and shots were heard. A crew of patrol police officers, an investigative task force and doctors immediately left at the specified address.

Arriving at the scene, the police established that there was a conflict between the 33-year-old victim and his acquaintance, during which the offender took out a pistol, fired several times in the direction of the opponent and fled. Having received signs of the attacker, police officers examined the surrounding area and near the scene of the offense noticed a man similar in description. He was stopped for inspection and during a surface inspection, an object resembling a traumatic pistol was found in him.

From the scene, the experts removed the pistol and the holster, which will be sent for examination in the future. The police arrested the defendant in accordance with Art. 208 of the Criminal Procedure Code of Ukraine, and the victim was hospitalized for the provision of necessary medical care. The detainee is a local resident, born in 1974.

The investigators of the Solomensky Police Department opened a pre-trial investigation under Part 4 of Art. 296 (Hooliganism) of the Criminal Code of Ukraine and currently the necessary investigative actions are being carried out to establish all the circumstances of the incident. The sanction of the article provides for up to seven years in prison.
