Police officer reported on suspicion of murder of patrolman
Law enforcement officers promptly discovered the intentional murder of the inspector of the Department of Patrol Police in the Luhansk region.
The duty unit of the Severodonetsk police department of the GUNP in the Luhansk region received a message about the discovery of the body of a patrol police officer, who was on duty in the city of Rubezhne, with a gunshot wound.
It was established that the 24-year-old inspector of the UPP, Alexander Fakhrudinov, was in regular uniform at the guarded facility. In the morning, the management found him dead, and the police officer's plate weapon was missing.
On the fact of the incident, information was entered into the Unified Register of Pretrial Investigations under Part 1 of Art. 115 (Premeditated murder) of the Criminal Code of Ukraine.
Joint forces of internal security officers of the National Police, Criminal Investigation, Investigation Department and Patrol Police of Luhansk region, as well as investigators of the State Bureau of Investigation conducted a complex of operational-search and investigative measures. Law enforcement officers established the identity of the suspect, who turned out to be a colleague of the patrol.
In order to avoid responsibility for what was done, the UPP employee was going to cross the border and enter the territory of the Russian Federation. On the way to the crossing point, the policeman was detained. In what he committed, he confessed and showed where he hid the murder weapon. The motive for the crime is established.
At present, SBI investigators have notified the 24-year-old police officer of suspicion. For murder, he may face imprisonment for up to 15 years.
