Employees of the Donetsk People's Security Centers received new equipment and protective equipment from the UN
On the eve of the winter holidays, employees of the Illinovsky, Sartansky, Mykolaiv and Lyman Centers for Citizen Security received new equipment and protective equipment from the UN Development Program.
The assistance is implemented within the framework of the project “EU Support for the East of Ukraine — Reconstruction, Strengthening Peace and Governance”. Thanks to international assistance, citizen safety centers received fire hoses, floating motor pumps, mobile lighting towers, a generator, protective fire gloves and boots, as well as Calisia Vulcan CV 102 fire helmets.
The State Emergency Service notes that the UN Development Programme is a reliable and permanent partner of the Donetsk Oblast Rescue Service. Rescuers expressed sincere gratitude for their cooperation.
The United Nations Programme for Reconstruction and Peacebuilding has been providing priority needs in eastern Ukraine since the beginning of the armed conflict in the spring of 2014. It is aimed at strengthening public security and social cohesion, supporting the reconstruction of the economy of communities affected by the conflict and implementing reforms of decentralization of power and health care in the territories controlled by the Government of Ukraine in Donetsk and Luhansk oblasts.
