An FSB officer of Russia will be tried for seizing the border service department and the border patrol in Crimea

A special pre-trial investigation into a Russian citizen who in 2014 contributed to the seizure of the Azov-Black Sea Regional Department of the State Border Service of Ukraine and the Simferopol Detachment has been completed.

During the pre-trial investigation, it was established that the FSB officer of the Russian Federation in March 2014, while on the territory of Ukraine in the city. Simferopol Autonomous Republic of Crimea, in preliminary collusion with other representatives of the FSB and the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation, contributed to the seizure of the Azov-Black Sea Regional Department of the State Border Service of Ukraine and the Simferopol Border Detachment. In particular, through persuasion, bribery and threats, the accused urged the servicemen of military units not to resist the subversive actions of the military units of the Russian Federation and their transition to the side of the Russian border service.

At the moment, an indictment against an employee of the Federal Security Service of the Russian Federation has been directed to the court. He is charged with aiding and abetting the territorial integrity and inviolability of Ukraine, incitement to commit treason and aiding in the conduct of an aggressive war (part 5 of article 27, part 3 of article 110, part 4 of article 27, part 1 of article 111, part 5 of article 27, part 2 of article. 28, part 2 of Art. 437 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine).

The pre-trial investigation was carried out by the investigators of the Main Investigation Department of the SBU under the procedural guidance of the prosecutors of the Department of Supervision in criminal proceedings concerning crimes committed in the context of the armed conflict and the Prosecutor General's Office.
