In Kharkiv region, investigators are investigating the fact of animal cruelty
A video appeared on the Internet in which a girl pushes a cat with her legs. A Kharkiv woman addressed the police with a corresponding statement.
The police found out that the offender is a 15-year-old student of the 9th grade of one of the schools of the Chuguev district. In November, while walking with a 14-year-old girlfriend, a girl noticed a cat and, for unknown reasons, began to bully him by hitting him with his leg. A friend filmed the offense on a mobile phone. The teenager could not explain her actions and noted that she regretted what she had done. The animal is alive, the cat ran away from the schoolgirl.
Police officers opened criminal proceedings under Part 3 of Art. 299 (Cruelty to animals) of the Criminal Code of Ukraine. The maximum punishment under this article is provided in the form of imprisonment for a period of 5 to 8 years. Investigative actions continue.
