Investigators opened criminal proceedings on the collapse of the wall of a non-residential building in Osnovyanskiy district of Kharkiv
As a result of the incident, none of the citizens were injured. As reported earlier, on January 4, at 11:30 a.m., the police received a report that the wall of a four-story building had collapsed on Gagarin Avenue. Employees of the investigative task force and the State Emergency Service left at the address.
It was found that the building, in which the office premises were located, was being prepared for demolition and was not used.
Information about the incident is included in the Unified Register of Pretrial Investigations under Part 2 of Art. 275 (violation of the rules relating to the safe use of industrial products or the safe operation of buildings and structures) of the Criminal Code of Ukraine. The sanction of the article provides for up to 5 years in prison, with deprivation of the right to hold certain positions or engage in certain activities for a period of up to three years.
Pre-trial investigation is carried out by detectives of the investigative department of the GUNP in Kharkiv region.
