Police investigators handed over suspicion to Nikolayevka in rough treatment of an animal
On September 1, in the evening, police officers carried out urgent investigative actions, seized, in advance, an air rifle, which was sent for investigation.
An autopsy of the dog has already been performed, the conclusions of specialists are expected.
So far, the 59-year-old man has been informed by investigators of suspicion of committing a crime provided for in Part 1 of Art. 299 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine “Cruelty to Animals”. The sanction of the article provides for up to three years in prison.
After conducting investigative actions and examinations, additional qualifications are possible. The investigation is ongoing.
Recall that on September 1, a message was received from the citizens on the territory of the food market on Central Avenue in Nikolaev an unknown man in the store shot a dog and left. From the damage received, the animal died. On the same day, the identity of the attacker and his location were established by law enforcement officers.
