Investigators of the National Police exposed the attackers who fraudulently seized the shares of a business partner worth more than UAH 3 million
In addition, the victim was unlawfully dismissed from the director position of the enterprise, reorganizing the PJSC into an LLC.
During the pre-trial investigation, the police established that in the Kherson region in early 2019, the CEO of a private joint-stock company, owning 75% of the shares, issued a notarized power of attorney to his business partner regarding the management of the shares owned by him, since he himself needed constant treatment due to severe horsetail work.
Abusing the trust of the victim, the “business partner” together with other persons on the basis of a general power of attorney concluded contracts for the purchase and sale of securities of the specified private joint-stock company. Thus, the shares of the victim were seized for a total amount of more than 3 million hryvnias.
In addition, on the basis of forged documents, the defendants reorganized the private joint-stock company into a limited liability company and unlawfully dismissed the victim from the position of director of the PJSC.
Investigators of the Corruption Crimes Investigation Department of the Main Investigative Department of the National Police of Ukraine under the operational support of the Strategic Investigation Department in the Kherson region of the National Police in the Kherson region conducted a number of searches in the office premises of the enterprise and the places of residence of the defendants. As a result, the documentation indicating the illegal activity of intruders has been removed.
Pre-trial investigation is carried out under Part 1 of Art. 358 (Forgery of documents, seals, stamps and forms, sale or use of forged documents, seals, stamps), part 4 of Art. 190 (Fraud) of the Criminal Code of Ukraine.
The pre-trial investigation is currently ongoing. The defendants face up to 12 years in prison with confiscation of property.
