Investigators of the National Police sent to the court an indictment against officials who caused damage to the state of more than 384 million UAH
The attackers, using their official position, rejected economically profitable offers to carry out construction work on the territory of a strategic enterprise during tenders. Therefore, the defendants artificially inflated the subject of purchases, which caused millions of losses to the state.
Investigators of the Main Investigative Department of the National Police established that the chairman and deputy of the tender committee of the state enterprise contributed to the groundless rejection of the most economically profitable offer of the bidder for the performance of construction works on the territory of the strategic object of the state. As a result, the legal entity in favor of which the decision was made received an unfair advantage. The amount of damage caused to the state is more than 384 million hryvnias.
At present, the investigators of the National Police, under the procedural guidance of the Office of the Prosecutor General, have completed the pre-trial investigation in the criminal proceedings investigated under Article 2. 28 (Committing a crime by a group of persons, a group of persons by prior conspiracy, organized group or criminal organization), part 2 of Art. 364 (Abuse of power or official position) of the Criminal Code of Ukraine. Operational support was carried out by employees of the Main Department of Counterintelligence Protection of State Interests in the Field of Economic Security of the Security Service of Ukraine.
The indictment against the officials is sent to court. Violators face punishment in the form of imprisonment for up to six years with deprivation of the right to hold certain positions or engage in certain activities for up to three years, with a fine of five hundred to one thousand non-taxable minimum incomes of citizens.
