Investigators of the National Police reported on suspicion of the former official in the appropriation of more than half a million hryvnias
Former official of one of the departments of the Svyatoshinskaya district in the city. Kyiv state administration concluded fictitious contracts for the purchase of social services for the population, including for people with disabilities.
During the pre-trial investigation, the investigators of the Corruption Crimes Investigation Department of the Main Investigation Department under the procedural guidance of prosecutors of the Office of the Prosecutor General have exposed the former head of one of the departments of the Svyatoshyn district in the city. The police found that for two years the official forged documents on the procurement by the administration of social services for the population. In particular, we are talking about the implementation of social support of persons with disabilities on social transport, withdrawal of means of rehabilitation from deceased persons with disabilities, clerical services, formation and registration of nomenclature cases, logistics of internal documentation.
Fictitious contracts for the performance of work were concluded with fraudulent persons who opened accounts in banking institutions and transferred access to them to the defendant. In fact, the work on social services for the population was carried out by full-time employees of the district administration.
Thus, the defendant appropriated more than 500 thousand hryvnias from the state budget.
Investigators of the National Police handed the defendant a notice of suspicion of committing criminal offenses provided for in Part 4 of Art. 191 (Possession of other people's property, by abuse of his official position, committed on a large scale), Part 1 of Art. 366 (preparation and issuance by an official of knowingly forged documents) of the Criminal Code of Ukraine. Investigators sent to the court a petition to elect a suspect to prevent event.
Law enforcement officers carry out further procedural measures to identify other persons involved in the commission of the crime. If proven guilty, the suspect faces punishment in the form of imprisonment for up to eight years.
