Investigators of the National Police reported on suspicion of the director of the enterprise in giving a bribe to the head of NAAS
The man is suspected of providing illegal benefits to the head of the NAAS of Ukraine in the form of free use of an elite car for several “services”. He could face up to four years in prison.
Earlier, the head of the NAAS was informed of the suspicion of committing a criminal offense provided for in Part 3 of Art. 368 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine. In particular, the fact that he received an illegal benefit in the form of free use of an elite car for assisting in the appointment to the post of director of one of the state-owned enterprises included in the structure of the NAAS of Ukraine, for not impeding the conclusion in the future of joint activity agreements between this state-owned enterprise and specifically defined entities economic activities. He is also suspected of including a predetermined person in the list of applicants to replace the vacancies of academicians and corresponding members of the NAAS of Ukraine and the subsequent transfer of relevant materials for consideration by the Presidium of the NAAS of Ukraine.
Yesterday, June 8, the investigators of the National Police reported on suspicion of the director of one of the societies of the Mykolaiv region in providing illegal benefits to the head of the NAAS of Ukraine in the form of free use of an elite car — for committing these actions in favor of his father. Currently, the pre-trial investigation is ongoing.
The issue of electing the director of the precautionary society is being resolved.
In accordance with Part 1 of Art. 369 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine, he is threatened with punishment in the form of a fine of one to four thousand non-taxable minimum incomes of citizens or restriction of liberty for a period of two to four years, or imprisonment for the same period.
