Investigators of the National Police announced suspicion of an official who caused 24 million hryvnias of damage to the state-owned enterprise
The head of the state-owned enterprise concluded contracts with the business entity that were obviously unprofitable for the state enterprise, which caused the company particularly large losses. The defendant faces up to five years in prison.
Law enforcers established that the head of the state enterprise of the system of the State Criminal and Enforcement Service of Ukraine of the Ministry of Justice of Ukraine concluded a number of contracts with an economic activity entity engaged in the cultivation of agricultural crops.
The terms of the transaction, which were contrary to the interests of the state-owned enterprise and were economically unjustified, the official did not agree with the leadership of the central management body.
At the moment, the investigators of the Corruption Crime Investigation Department of the Civil Service of the National Police reported the suspicion to the head of the enterprise. In criminal proceedings, the procedural guidance is carried out by the prosecutors of the Office of the Prosecutor General, the investigation is carried out under the prompt support of SBU staff.
Pre-trial investigation under Part 2 of Art. 367 (Civil negligence) of the Criminal Code of Ukraine continues. The offender faces punishment in the form of imprisonment for up to five years with deprivation of the right to hold certain positions or engage in certain activities for up to three years.
