Situation centers of the National Police for the period of holidays transferred to an enhanced mode of operation - Oleksandr Fatsevich
This is necessary for the prompt processing of information about the situation in the state and making management decisions. Territorial units of the National Police during the festive period should ensure road safety, public order protection at mass events and the safety of their participants. This was said by the Deputy Head of the National Police today, August 20, during a departmental instructional meeting.
The event took place in video selector mode. The meeting was attended by the heads of the structural units of the National Police, as well as the heads of the prevention units of the regional heads and the Kiev police.
According to Oleksandr Fatsevich, the network of situational centers of the National Police has been transferred to a strengthened mode of operation since August 21, since it is today that many events related to the participation of the state leadership and high foreign guests begin. Therefore, there is a need for prompt receipt and processing of information about the situation in the places of events. Therefore, command posts of the central executive bodies and the National Guard are connected to the network of situation centers of the National Police, the activities of which are coordinated by the Minister of Internal Affairs.
“From today, all operational information about events, about extraordinary events related to mass events on the celebration of Independence Day of Ukraine, celebration of Flag Day, holding religious events, and other related events — comes to the Interdepartmental Situation Center of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine and to the Situation Center of the National Police,” Oleksandr Facevych noted.
According to the Deputy Head of the National Police of Ukraine, special attention should be paid to the safety of citizens participating in mass events. To do this, they involve units of the Dialogue Police, dog handlers, and explosives technicians. The police will work with the organizers and coordinators of the actions to ensure that these events take place as safely as possible. In addition, law enforcement officers will monitor compliance with the Traffic Rules on the country's roads, the technical condition of the transport that will transport the participants of the events, etc.
“We must work as quickly and efficiently as possible every event, every event. The safety of people and tranquility on the streets of our cities depend on this,” the deputy head of the National Police stressed.
