Serhiy Deyneko: I am grateful to everyone who keeps the peace of the state on the border with honor and dignity
The head of the State Border Guard Service of Ukraine congratulated the personnel on a professional holiday.
“Today is the Day of the Border Guard of Ukraine. This is a celebration of men and women who chose to protect the border of our state as an honorable cause of their lives.
Dear brothers, friends! Dear veterans! With all my heart I sincerely congratulate you all on a professional holiday!
Every day, thousands of border units come out to protect the state border, which are located not only on land, but also in the sea and sky, ensure the functioning of units.
The importance of your work is proven by years of enemy aggression and hybrid war against Ukraine. You stand steadfastly in defense of security and peace and defend the border not only of Ukraine, but of the whole of Europe.
The first ones, with honor! This is how the border guards met the enemy, although they were not fully prepared for it. And this is how they continue to perform the task now, but already becoming much stronger. Together with the whole of Ukraine, the defenders of the border are ready to give a worthy rebuff to the aggressor who does not retreat.
On this day, we once again remember our heroes who gave the most precious — their lives. Thanks to them, we continue to live. And we must remember their exploits. In the war for Ukraine, 70 border guards were beheaded, another 5 are still considered missing. I bow low before the families and relatives of the fallen brothers.
Ukrainian border guards have proven that they are a reliable link in the system of strengthening the national security and defense of Ukraine, protecting the interests of the country.
Highly appreciates what you do and our society, expressing one of the highest levels of trust. So, I am grateful to everyone who keeps the peace of the state at the border with honor and dignity. I thank the team for the effective development of the department, strengthening the strength of the border and dedication for the good of the country and people.
