Serhiy Deineko: “The arrangement of the state border is the way to build a modern border agency, high-quality service and effective protection of the country”
The Head of the State Border Guard Service emphasized this today during the opening of the updated unit on the Ukrainian-Moldovan border.
In particular, in the Odessa region, an updated branch of inspectors of the border service “Udobne” of the Belgorod-Dnestrovsky border detachment was opened.
The head of the border department congratulated the staff of the unit on the opening of the reconstructed branch of the border service inspectors and thanked everyone who took part in its reconstruction.
“Thanks to the government, the support of regional and local authorities, we were able to contribute to the development of our Motherland. The modern department of inspectors of the border service “Udobne”, built according to international norms and standards, is a vivid example of this. We do not stop there and move on. After all, the arrangement of the state border is the way to build a modern border agency, high-quality service and effective protection of the country,” said the Head of the State Border Service Major General Serhiy Deineko in his speech.
The Head of the Odessa Regional State Administration Serhiy Hrynevetsky, Chairman of the Odessa Regional State Administration Grigory Didenko, Head of the Odessa Regional Council Grigory Didenko, Head of the European Union Mission for Border Assistance to Moldova and Ukraine Slavomir Pihor, Head of the Southern Regional State Department were congratulated on the opening of the branch and attended the event Border Guard Serhiy Mul and heads of cooperating law enforcement agencies, representatives of local authorities.
Currently, the updated department is a well-equipped, multifunctional unit in which proper conditions, infrastructure and technical support have been established. Geographically, the department is located at the intersection of international corridors connecting Ukraine with the Republic of Moldova and the EU states. Reconstruction of the office of inspectors of the border service “Udobne” began two years ago. During this time, the service premises were reconstructed, including administrative and for training personnel and border outfits for service, plaques, boxes for storage and maintenance of automotive equipment, a dog kennel with enclosures for service dogs, a sports ground and storage facilities were equipped.
The total amount of funds used for the arrangement of the border unit amounted to about 3.6 million UAH.
