Rescuers together with guards eliminate the effects of bad weather in the western part of Ukraine
As a result of heavy rainfall in the western regions of Ukraine, there was flooding of courtyards, residential buildings and outbuildings of the local population. Rescuers and National Guardsmen are involved in the elimination of the effects of the bad weather.
Thus, in Transcarpathia Rakhiv region is gradually recovering from the effects of bad weather. On July 12, for aerial monitoring and studying the scale of the disaster caused by the water element in Rakhiv district, the regional leadership and rescuers flew the territory with a helicopter.
According to preliminary data, 171 farms were flooded by floodwaters, including 101 residential buildings, 1 residential building was destroyed. Also damaged were 10 units of vehicles, a dirt road on ul. Stebnyi in the village of Yasinia has a length of 4 km and an asphalt surface with a length of 300 m. 54 bridge crossings to residential buildings were destroyed and coastal fortifications were damaged. Due to waterlogging of the soil, landslides were recorded, in the area of which there are 20 residential buildings. Rakhiv police department takes measures to establish the location of the resident of the village of Yasinia, born in 1956.
Currently, the active phase of the elimination of the consequences of the flood continues: the road surface on the street is being restored. Stebny in the village of Yasinia. Heavy machinery is working to clear the riverbed, and the laying of stone continues to strengthen the destroyed banks.
The personnel of the rescue service cleared the Stebny river bed with an area of about 600 sq. m, pumped water from 13 basements and wells, uncovered 23 cubic meters of wood. Work was also carried out on clearing farms and basements from garbage and silt. In total, about 100 tons of junk were exported.
In total, 33 rescuers and three units of equipment worked from the units of the Main Directorate of the State Emergency Service of the region. Also, 50 National Guardsmen (including 3002), 42 workers and 4 units of forestry equipment, 10 people and 4 units of equipment of the district electricity service worked on the elimination of the effects of the weather. Work continues.
On July 12, in the evening in Zaporozhye there were thunderstorms and significant rains, as well as gusty winds up to 15-20 m/s. Emergency rescue workers responded promptly to 6 calls related to providing assistance to the population due to adverse weather conditions. So, employees of the Rescue Service in the Aleksandrovsky, Komunarsky, Voznesenivsky and Zavodsky districts of the city sawed and removed six trees that fell on the roadway and cars. No one was injured as a result of the incident. In total, 6 units of equipment and 24 rescuers were involved in the elimination of the consequences of adverse weather conditions.
And in the Ivano-Frankivsk region, intense precipitation caused a rise in the water level in the river. Bystrytsya Nadvirnyanska, so the Precarpathian emergency workers went to rescue people on the reservoirs of Nadvirnyansky district. A total of 11 people were rescued.
