Rescuers eliminate two fires in churches
At once, two churches burned this morning — in Kyiv region and Lviv region.
At 08 h 03 min. there was a message about the burning of the dome of the Church of the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary (UOC) in the village of Grigorovka, Obukhiv district. Upon the arrival of rescuers, it was found that the dome of the church and the ceiling in the entire area (48 square meters) were burning. At 08 h. 30 min. the fire was localized. At 09 h. 13 min. the fire
was eliminated. No dead or injured were identified. The fire was involved in extinguishing 5 units of equipment and 22
personnel.
Almost simultaneously, at 7:00am, in the village of Korostiv, Stryi district #Львівської region, there was a fire in the wooden bell tower of the Church of St. Paraskevi of Tirnovskaya. The church belongs to the Ukrainian Greek Catholic Church, built in 1858 and is an architectural monument of national importance. At 08.21 the fire was localized and at 08.54 it was eliminated. 17 people and 3 technicians were involved in the
extinguishing of the fire.
