Emergency rescue workers continue to help extinguish large-scale fires in Greece
On August 12, due to the passage of a cyclone over the island of Eubeya of the Greek Republic and the heavy rainfall in the form of rain, as well as the impossibility of passing dirt roads into mountainous areas of the forest massifs, the Greek side decided to postpone the work on extinguishing forest fires to the morning of 13 August.
Press briefings were also held with the participation of firefighters from Ukraine, Romania, Moldova, Poland, Slovakia, Serbia.
On August 13, a joint detachment of the State Emergency Service in the territory of the Hellenic Republic near the settlements of Elinika and Kamatriades resumed work to provide assistance in extinguishing forest fires.
