Emergency rescue workers continue to help extinguish large-scale fires in Greece

During August 11, a 100-strong SNS detachment carried out work on the territory of North Evia, near the city. Elinika. It is not allowed to spread the fire along the front at a distance of 2 thousand 500 m. The low-level fire on the area of 1.7 hectares and the upper one with separate cells with an area of 350 square meters was eliminated.
Work continues.
Recall that on August 6, a combined detachment of firefighters from all over the country arrived in Greece to help fight large-scale forest fires. To fulfill the task of the Head of State Volodymyr Zelensky and the decision of the Government, a hundred rescuers of the State Emergency Service with the necessary equipment took off from the airport “Kyiv”.
