Emergency rescue workers switched to enhanced duty mode
During the celebration of New Year and Christmas holidays, the State Emergency Service of Ukraine ensures the protection of the population and territories of the state from emergencies, fires and dangerous events in an enhanced mode.
Thus, from 09:00 on December 25 to 09:00 on December 28, 2021, enhanced monitoring of man-made and fire safety within the areas of responsibility is carried out. Particular attention is paid to objects with mass attendance of people, at which festive events will be held.
Cooperation with authorities at all levels is organized on actions in the event of emergencies, fires and dangerous events. Operational documents for the objects of festive events and religious buildings were worked out, the sources of fire water supply in the areas of their location were checked.
The supervisory staff of the State Emergency Service conducted about 4,800 briefings on compliance with the requirements of fire and man-made safety, which involved about 20 thousand leaders of religious communities and organizers of festive events.
In total, on the territory of Ukraine there are more than 7 thousand employees of the State Emergency Service and 2 thousand units of fire and rescue and special equipment, including: about 300 rescuers and 50 units of equipment at facilities involved in the celebration of New Year and Christmas holidays with mass attendance of people; 26 pyrotechnic calculations, totaling more than 130 people and 50 units of equipment; 9 aircraft, including 4 airplanes and 5 helicopters.
