Emergency rescue workers assist in extinguishing large-scale fires in Greece
On August 7, a combined detachment of the State Emergency Service (100 fighters) on the territory of the periphery of “Spatari” in Greece eliminated separate foci of fire on a front of 2,250 m, up to 200 m deep. Rescued 2 settlements of s. Spatari and s. Metochs (27 residential buildings, 1 religious building, 33 farm buildings, 1 granary, 1 dog shelter, 54 hives and a flock of sheep).

Recall that on August 6, a combined detachment of firefighters from all over the country arrived in Greece to help fight large-scale forest fires. To fulfill the task of the Head of State Volodymyr Zelensky and the decision of the Government, a hundred rescuers of the State Emergency Service with the necessary equipment took off from the airport “Kyiv”.
