Border guards stopped smuggling of Russian sanctioned goods that tried to be imported from Belarus to Ukraine
Soldiers of the Volyn border detachment together with customs officers prevented an attempt to import prohibited goods manufactured in the Russian Federation into Ukraine. The other day, a truck under the control of our compatriot arrived at the checkpoint “Domanove” with a cargo of “spare parts for cars”.
The goods followed from Belarus to one of the enterprises.
Given the possible risks related to the illegal movement of goods, operational officers of the Border Patrol initiated a thorough inspection. Subsequently, during the border and customs clearance of the cargo and inspection of the shipping documents, law enforcement officers discovered the lack of information about the manufacturer in them. On the same spare parts it meant that they were made in Russia at PJSC “KAMAZ”.
It should be noted that this company is included in the list of legal entities against which, according to the decision of the National Security Council, sanctions are applied with a complete ban on the import or transit of goods into Ukraine.
In this regard, the truck, which brought to Ukraine more than 800 spare parts of Russian production, worth almost 400 thousand hryvnias, was returned to the territory of Belarus in accordance with the established procedure.
