X-ray television introscopes on the demarcation line: quickly and efficiently
The State Border Service of Ukraine is constantly working to improve the comfort, security and speed of transit operations at the entry and exit checkpoints both on the demarcation line and at the administrative border with the TOT AR Crimea.
More than a week ago, X-ray and television systems were installed at the entry and exit checkpoint “Stanytsya Luhanska”, on which Ukrainian border guards check travelers' luggage. They not only facilitate the work of law enforcement, but also reduce the time for people to cross checkpoints. Professional X-ray screening is ideal for contactless checking of small luggage. These devices are equipped with X-ray generators, detector modules, mechanical and conveyor structures, as well as a computer platform with a special keyboard, monitors and a user-friendly user interface.
During this period alone, more than 10 thousand bags were checked. And already there are the first results - a signal gun, 7 rounds to it and a cartridge of 7.62 mm caliber.
Note that the same X-ray and television introscopes are installed at the checkpoint on the administrative border with the TOT AR Crimea. In particular, the devices are already installed in the checkpoint “Chongar” and in the near future will be equipped in the checkpoint “Kalanchak”.
It is worth noting that the X-ray and television systems were installed by employees of the state-owned enterprise “Reintegration and Recovery” with the support of the United Nations Development Program (UNDP), the European Union within the framework of the United Nations Recovery and Peacebuilding Program.
