Rector of ODUVS Vyacheslav Abroskina was awarded the Silver Cross of Merit of the Republic of Poland
On March 26, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Poland to Ukraine Bartosz Ciechocki presented the Rector of the Odessa State University of Internal Affairs Vyacheslav Abroskine with the “Silver Cross of Merit of the Republic of Poland”.
The award ceremony was held at the Embassy of the Republic of Poland in Ukraine.
“Cross of Merit” is one of the most prestigious state awards of Poland, which was established by order of the President of the Republic of Poland (Second Republic of Poland) dated June 23, 1923. In 1944, “in order to encourage outstanding merits contributing to the glory and interests of the People's Poland”, the award was reestablished.
Since 1960, the Cross of Merit has been awarded not only to Polish citizens, but also to foreigners, the decision on the award of which is made by the President of the Republic of Poland at the request of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
