Counteraction to the illegal market of excisable products: more than 150 thousand objects have been checked
This was announced today, December 6, during a meeting with the heads of preventive activities units, the Deputy Head of the National Police Oleksandr Facevich.
The deputy head of the National Police noted that the police are carrying out measures to combat the illegal circulation of excisable goods. More than 6 thousand police officers are involved every day, who have checked almost 150 thousand objects.
“As a result, employees of preventive activities units seized 437 thousand packs of cigarettes and 793 kg of tobacco. The total amount of seized products is almost 19 million hryvnias. In addition, 73 thousand liters of alcohol products worth more than 6 million hryvnias were seized,” Oleksandr Fatsevich noted.
According to the revealed facts, the investigating police initiated 116 criminal offenses and compiled almost 5 thousand administrative protocols.
Oleksandr Fatsevich stressed that the police will continue to work out the illegal market for the circulation of excisable products.
