The project “Community Police Officer” will cover more than a thousand amalgamated territorial communities — Denis Monastyrsky
Two thousand officers will undergo special training and serve in the united territorial communities throughout Ukraine. This was announced today, July 29, by the Minister of Internal Affairs of Ukraine Denis Monastyrsky during the Joint Session of the Presidium of the Congress of Local and Regional Authorities under the President of Ukraine and the National Council of Reforms.
Denis Monastyrsky stressed that strengthening security in territorial communities is a priority issue for the Ministry of Internal Affairs system.
“The key project is the Community Police Officer, which currently operates in 368 communities. There, efficiency and trust in officers reaches more than 70%. In the near future, we plan to extend this project to almost a thousand amalgamated territorial communities, preparing for this up to two thousand police officers,” the interior minister said.
The head of the Ministry of Internal Affairs called on the participants of the congress to actively participate in the joint development of an effective security environment of communities.
