Border guards complete preparatory measures to meet tens of thousands of Hasidic pilgrims
Already in early September, Ukraine expects the arrival of believers who come to celebrate the Jewish New Year Rosh Hashanah. Part of the Hasidic pilgrims will go through the Boryspil and Zhuliany checkpoints. According to preliminary data, border guards expect the arrival of more than 20 thousand pilgrims.
The other day, border guards improved their knowledge of the elements of the organization of border control. Classes on improving the level of organization and implementation of border control were conducted by a representative of the main expert and forensic center of the State Border Guard Service.
To ensure the quality of crossing operations, border guards attract additional personnel for which classes on improving the level of knowledge of the organization of border control and crossing operations were conducted.
With the help of technical means of border control, the servicemen studied in detail the passports of an Israeli citizen, the types of fakes and the legal framework for crossing operations.
The 15 border guards involved in the training have many years of experience in carrying out border operations. From the beginning of September, they will provide practical assistance at the Boryspil and Zhuliany checkpoints.
