Border guards detained a plane that illegally took off from Romania and landed near Berdichev
This night, the border guards of the Chernivtsi detachment recorded the fact of illegal crossing of the state border by plane from Romania to Ukraine.
Operational officers of the State Border Guard Service established the place of probable landing of violators - an airfield near the city of Berdychiv, in Zhytomyr region.
Employees of the operational-search unit of the Zhytomyr border detachment arrived at the place prepared for landing the aircraft. When the plane landed, law enforcement officers came forward to detain him. Noticing the approach of the border guards, the aircraft began to move again and soared into the air. Soon, employees of the Zhytomyr detachment detained at the airfield a person who coordinated the actions of the aircraft crew from the ground. After that, the AN-2 landed again.
There were three people on board the plane who were also detained. Also, during the inspection of the scene, radios, lights and other accessories for organizing illegal takeoff and landing were found.
According to this fact, a notice of detection of an offense was sent to the competent authorities on the basis of article 334 of the Criminal Code “Violation of the rules of international flights” and article 332-2 of the Criminal Code “Illegal crossing of the state border of Ukraine”.
The circumstances of the offense are clarified.
