Border guards detain Romanian citizen wanted in Germany for murder
The criminal, who was wanted by Interpol, was detained by the border guards of the Mukachevo detachment.
The State Border Service of Ukraine implements systemic measures to ensure reliable protection of the state border. In particular, the relevant Interpol database is used at checkpoints to identify persons and vehicles under international search.
So, last night at the checkpoint “Solotvyno”, the troops of the Mukachevo border detachment found a 51-year-old Romanian citizen who was on his way to Ukraine and was under international search. During the verification of the documents concerning this citizen, the Interpol database was activated.
On this fact, the border guards informed the Ukrbureau of Interpol in the city. Kiev. It turned out that the foreigner has been wanted for more than half a year by German law enforcement on suspicion of murder. The criminal was transferred to the National Police in the Transcarpathian region according to the established procedure.
