Border guards prevent illegal mining
Yesterday, near the border, the operational officers of the Mukachevo detachment discovered the fact of illegal mining near the Tisa River.
It is worth noting that excessive and uncontrolled mining near rivers leads to unpredictable consequences during floods.
So, on the outskirts of the village of Solotvino, the operatives stopped the “Kamaz”, which transported the gravel-sand mixture. The driver of the truck did not have identity documents, documents for the right to drive the vehicle and a mining permit in the border zone. However, he admitted to the border guards that he had loaded up with minerals on the banks of the Tisa River.
The soldiers called National Police officers to the scene, but the driver did not want to meet them, and ignoring the legal requirements of the border guards, tried to escape.
For violation of the border regime and malicious disobedience to the husband, protocols were drawn up on administrative offenses, provided for by Articles 202 and 185-10 of the Code of Administrative Offenses. Also, the National Police was sent a notice on the detection of signs of a crime provided for in Article 240 of the Criminal Code “Violation of the rules of protection or use of subsoil”.
We remind you that in accordance with the Law “On the State Border Guard Service of Ukraine”, border guards are also assigned tasks to control in the areas of service the preservation of natural resources and underwater cultural and archaeological heritage, compliance with the rules of industrial and other activities, environmental protection.
