Border guards exposed the illegal production of fuel from “gray import” oil products
On the territory of Kharkiv region, a number of authorized searches were carried out at the plant for the production of fuel and gas stations. 738,000 liters of petroleum products, equipment, financial and economic documentation, computer equipment for a total amount of 54 million hryvnias were seized.
The scheme with fuel counterfeiting was discovered thanks to the joint actions of employees of the Department of Operational and Investigative Activities of the Eastern Regional Department of the State Border Service of Ukraine, the SBU in and GUDFS In Kharkiv Oblast, which were conducted under the procedural guidance of the Prosecutor's Office of Kharkiv Oblast.
About the possible production of fuel from components imported according to the so-called gray schemes, employees of the operational and search department of the Eastern Regional Directorate of the State Traffic Safety Administration learned. According to the information received, dealers received part of the raw materials from the Russian Federation, which was later used in the production of counterfeit fuel. The manufactured counterfeit was sold at gas stations in Kharkiv and neighboring regions.
The specified information was provided in accordance with the established procedure to the Investigative Department of the State Fiscal Service of Ukraine in Kharkiv region. On the basis of the materials provided in the framework of criminal proceedings under Art. 204 Criminal Code “Illegal manufacture, storage, sale or transportation for the purpose of sale of excisable goods” joint interdepartmental group with the force support of the fighters of the Border Detachment “Dozor” conducted sanctioned searches.
