Precarpathian police identify causes of citizens' illness in sports camp - 9 people hospitalized
Law enforcement officers have opened criminal proceedings and are establishing the causes and circumstances of the illness of nine people who entered the medical facility from the camp.
Recall that on July 22 at 15:03 the Yaremche police received a message from the regional hospital about the hospitalization of the deceased patients from the sports camp. Currently, we are talking about one adult and eight children aged 7-13 years, who were resting in one of the complexes located in Yablunytsya, Polyanyts'ka OTG.
Doctors informed about their previous diagnosis - acute gastroenteritis (moderate severity).
The police previously established that 243 children aged 6 to 16 years, as well as adults - 22 parents and 11 coaches, arrived at the specified complex for rest on July 17. We are talking about residents of Kharkiv, Chernihiv, Sumy, Vinnytsia and Kyiv regions.
Police officers initiated criminal proceedings under Part 2 of Art. 325 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine. This is a violation of sanitary rules and norms for the prevention of infectious diseases and mass poisoning. An investigative and operational team continues to work at the scene. Specialists of the Main Department of the State Service of Ukraine for Food Safety and Consumer Protection in Ivano-Frankivsk region also carry out inspections on the territory of the camp.
As of 20 hours, 9 people were hospitalized.
