Recall the main events during 2021 in the National Guard
Soldiers of the National Guard of Ukraine daily performed their duties in different parts of the state. The guards protected the territorial integrity of the country, performing tasks in the area of the Joint Forces, safeguarding peace and tranquility on the streets of cities, providing security near the state border of Ukraine, delivering humanitarian aid, etc.
The National Guard developed international cooperation, studied and effectively implemented the best experience of military and law enforcement formations of NATO and EU countries. Military personnel of NGU received and shared experience while participating in international exercises.
An important victory in 2021 was the final vindication in Italy of our warrior - Vitaly Markiv. Vitaliy Markov has been behind bars since June 2017, when he was arrested at Bologna airport. Now, after returning to Ukraine, Vitaliy continues to serve in the National Guard.
Vitaliy Markov's justification is a victory for the whole Ukrainian people! Ukrainian lawyers, military personnel, Ukrainian diaspora in Italy, Ukrainian diplomats, Ukrainian volunteers and journalists.
The courage and dedication of our servicemen form the pages of the latest history of the Ukrainian army. We honor the memory of those who gave their lives, fulfilling their official duties, defending the independence, sovereignty and territorial integrity of Ukraine.
