Law enforcement officers detained a man over the shooting in Uman
He turned out to be a 22-year-old Israeli citizen. Investigators of the Uman district police department opened criminal proceedings on the fact of hooliganism.
Yesterday at about 15:00 the police of Uman received a report that there was a shooting on the street of Sofia Perovskaya. As a result, two people, Israeli citizens, were injured. Paramedics rushed the wounded to the hospital. At the moment, there is no threat to their life and health.
Law enforcement officers inspected the scene, seized material evidence, interviewed witnesses and selected explanations from eyewitnesses, as well as established the identity of the attacker.
He was a 22-year-old Israeli citizen who arrived in Uman.
In the hotel room there was a conflict between the men, which escalated into gunfire. The attacker wounded one Hashid in the chest, the other in the arm. After that, he fled in an unknown direction even before the arrival of law enforcement officers.
Now the man is detained in accordance with Article 208 of the Criminal Procedure Code of Ukraine.
Currently, the collected information on this fact is included in the Unified Register of Pretrial Investigations under Part 4 of Art. 296 (Hooliganism) of the Criminal Code of Ukraine. The sanction of the article provides for three to seven years in prison.
Under the procedural guidance of the District Prosecutor's Office of the city of Uman, the issue of declaring suspicion and choosing a preventive measure for the detainee is resolved.
As part of the pre-trial investigation, law enforcement officers establish all the circumstances of the incident.
