Law enforcement officers provided protection of public order during the celebration of Volnovakha City Day
The city of Volnovakha, located near the contact line, marked the 140th anniversary of the Day of its foundation. The guards of the 12th National Guard Operational Brigade, which is based in Mariupol, together with the police, ensured the protection of public order during the festive events.
Spartakiada, interactive theatrical entertainment, celebrations for the Day of Physical Culture and Sports of Ukraine, thematic and entertainment locations, a festive concert program on the occasion of the day of the city “The Best Place on Earth” and the performance of the famous band “Tik”. This is how the inhabitants of Volnovakha will remember this day. However, in order to prevent possible provocations in the frontline city, law enforcement has tightened security measures. An increased number of National Guard and police uniforms patrolled the streets and places of mass events. In total, over the weekend, more than 100 law enforcement officers guarded the peace of citizens on the territory of Volnovakha and Volnovsky district. During the festive events, law enforcement officers as part of foot patrols provided protection of public order and security. No serious offenses were allowed.
