Law enforcers opened criminal proceedings on the fact of animal cruelty
A resident of Lutsk district in the middle of the day shot two dogs. The police opened criminal proceedings under Part 3 of Art. 299 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine (animal cruelty).

Law enforcement officials determined that a local 66-year-old resident may be involved in the crime. He fired shots from his own registered smoothbore rifle. The police seized weapons and ammunition from her. Dogs that belonged to his neighbors were sent for research.
The information was registered with the ERDR. According to the law, for such actions it is provided for from five to eight years in prison.
