Law enforcement officers of the Carpathians exposed an organized criminal group of drug abusers

The capacities of the two laboratories allowed to produce up to ten kilograms of amphetamine every month and bring in more than four million hryvnias in profit. The channels of sale of suspects were Telegram channels, which ordered drug products through post offices in different cities of Ukraine.

On June 4, investigators of the investigative department and criminal investigation agents of the GUNP in the Ivano-Frankivsk region, together with the employees of the SBU department in the region under the procedural guidance of the regional prosecutor's office, in the course of the previously initiated pre-trial investigation, exposed an organized group consisting of four people who were soon lawfully manufactured, sold narcotic drugs and psychotropic substances (in large and especially large sizes).

Investigators found that a 28-year-old resident of one of the villages of Kalushchyna created and led an organized group, which included three men aged 23-28, residents of the same area.

The attackers set up one drug lab in a rented apartment in Kalush, another in a village in an area where psychotropic substances were illegally manufactured and stored for the purpose of marketing.

During the authorized searches, law enforcement officers seized laboratory equipment, precursors, amphetamine, about 500 liters of various chemical reagents and other material evidence. The total value of the seized reaches about 2 million hryvnias.

The perpetrators, who have not been tried before, were detained by investigators in accordance with Article 208 of the Criminal Procedure Code of Ukraine. They were informed of the suspicion under Part 3 of Article 307 and Part 2 of Art. 317 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine. The court chose a preventive measure for all defendants in the form of detention.
