Law enforcers will strengthen security measures in the center of the capital
On the occasion of the 1033rd anniversary of the Baptism of Kievan Rus, police officers and the National Guard will closely monitor law order during the planned mass events. In addition, the movement of all types of vehicles on certain streets will be temporarily restricted.
On July 27, according to the applications submitted, there will be a procession dedicated to the 1033rd anniversary of the Baptism of Kievan Rus. In this regard, law enforcement officers will intervene in the enhanced alternation of the streets of the capital. Also, in order to prevent offenses in places of mass gathering of citizens, employees of the dialogue police, explosives service, dog handlers with service dogs and other specialized services will monitor the order.
In addition, the patrol police warn about the restriction of traffic in the center of Kiev with the implementation of measures.
In particular, from 6:00am traffic will be blocked:
on Khreshchatyk Street (from Bogdan Khmelnytsky Street to European Square);
on Mikhailovskaya Street (from Khreshchatyk Street to Velyka Zhytomyrska Street);
on Velyka Zhytomyrska Street (from Volodymyrska Street to Vladimir Pass);
on Tryokhsvyattelska Street (from Mikhailovskaya Square to European Square);
on Vladimirsky Uzvoz (from European Square to Post Square);
on Mikhail Hrushevsky Street (from Sadovaya Street to European Square);
on the Park road (from Mikhail Hrushevsky street to the alley of Heroes of Krute).
Traffic will be closed from 14:00:
on Mikhail Hrushevsky Street (from Sadovaya Street to Moskovskaya Street);
on Ivan Mazepa Street (from Moskovskaya Street to Glory Square);
on Lavrskaya Street (from Glory Square to Citadelnaya Street);
on Heroiv Krut Alley (from Slava Square to Dniprovsky Uzuz);
on the Dnieper Uzgov (from the alley of Heroes Krute to the Naberezhnyi highway).
