Suspicion of a man who publicly threatened patrol police in Zaporizhzhia
In Zaporizhzhia, an unknown person approached the uniform of the patrol police, who arrived on call, and began to cynically humiliate them, intimidating “with their authoritative status in the criminal environment.” Verbal altercation and obscene swearing were accompanied by public threats to law enforcement officers. Previously, the repeatedly convicted person will again be on the bench of the defendants.
As part of the protection of the system, the operatives of the Zaporizhzhya Department of Internal Security of the National Police received information about an incident that occurred between patrol police officers and a man on one of the streets of Zaporizhia.
It is established that around 23:00 officers of the patrol police received a call about a fight in a nightclub. At the scene, an unknown person approached them and began to boldly express his contempt. The humiliation of the police was accompanied by obscene cursing and turned into open threats. At the same time, the attacker loudly shouted that he is quite famous and influential in the criminal circle.
The conflict occurred in the presence of many witnesses and was captured on video. According to the internal security materials of the National Police, investigators of the police department of the Zaporizhzhya district administration have opened criminal proceedings.
Law enforcement officers quickly established the identity and location of the attacker. He turned out to be a 34-year-old resident of Zaporizhzhia, who was repeatedly prosecuted for robbery, fraud and causing bodily harm.
With the physical support of the fighters of the special purpose police of the GUNP in the Zaporizhzhya region, he was detained. Under the procedural guidance of the Voznesenivska District Prosecutor's Office of Zaporizhia, he was notified of suspicion under Part 3 of Article 296 (Hooliganism) of the Criminal Code of Ukraine. The sanction of the incriminated violator of the article provides for punishment in the form of imprisonment for a term of two to five years.
